What to Expect at First Baptist

What you can expect when you arrive at First Baptist Church is a biblically centered, mission oriented people. I want to assure you that this is a place to belong. With a commitment to worship, missions, outreach, youth/children's ministry, Bible study, prayer and life with Christ as the center, we hope that you will visit. First Baptist is a community of all ages that is ready to embrace those seeking a church family. We invite you to discover what First Baptist is all about.
Mission and Vision:
We at First Baptist Church, Bicknell are committed to a God given vision for the people of the North Knox area. We believe that we live to grow Christ's Kingdom by passionately sharing his truth in love. We have been called to reach the 4734 people in our area who are not church attenders. We have set a goal to reach 48 people before labor day 2010.Directions:

Worship:
Worship is the primary gathering setting for the people of First Baptist. While there are Sunday school classes, small group, and many opportunities for ministry, we believe that worship is the foremost gathering of the people of God. Join us for either traditional (9:00 a.m.) or contemporary (11:00 a.m.) worship each Sunday morning. Listen to some examples of Sunday Morning sermons here.
What do I wear?
The short answer is anything you would like. There are some who feel most comfortable in their "Sunday best". You will see some in ties and dresses (not usually both at the same time.) There are others in jeans. By in large, those in the early service usually dress a bit more formal, while those in the late service are more casual. We believe that you should dress as you feel comfortable and in a way that facilitates your worship.
